'cause making up is hard to doooo...
i'm absolutely obsessed with 60 second makeup videos on instagram.
i'm not sure if it's my lack of makeup artistry or even my lack of desire to wear a lot of makeup,
but i love watching them.
i'm completely mesmerized by the seven layers of foundation, color correction, baking, concealing,
priming, contouring, coloring etc...
i'm so ignorant about makeup application, there's no way that order is even correct?!
I grew up thinking that less was more, but apparently that's changed.
there are endless videos of naturally beautiful women layering their faces
with an unbelievable amount of makeup.
the results are usually then filtered for that perfect glow, but what about real life?
if you don't have the filter or correct lighting, what are the results?
don't get me wrong, i'm not bashing these talented artists, but i don't quite get it?
are real women imitating art to achieve a look that's completely fabricated?
ironically our world's reality is pretty much faking everything -
eyebrows, lashes, contouring, lip size, etc.
is this process not exhausting?
please comment below - are we ashamed of our natural beauty?
